My name is Eugene and I have many nicknames. I’m known as the “Panda” to my wife because I don’t seem to get much sleep. I’m always busy doing something and don’t seem to sleep at all, hence the black ring around my eyes. Others have call me the “Walking Database” because I like to organize things. I can retrieve a photo I’ve taken a decades ago and tell you when and where it was taken.
My passion in life is software development. It’s something I have been doing all my life. It started when I was a kid when my parents got me an IBM compatible computer running on DOS. From then on, I got into computers and programming. In college, I spend more time running a web site than working on class work. It got me my first job as a web developer and 20+ years later, I’m still doing what I like.
I live my life the way I develop software, using the “Agile” way. When I want to do something, I just do it. I make mistakes here and there but I keep on improving through learning and experiences. I also try to be very flexible because I know nothing is permanent, everything will eventually change.
Oh yeah, I also like to travel around the world, eat great food, and play with Legos.
